NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Modesto City Schools hereby gives notice that a public hearing will be held as follows:
TOPIC OF HEARING:
The Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) is designed to close the achievement gap by providing additional funds to support improved student outcomes and accountability. We must develop a plan locally that achieves improved results. The LCFF accountability system requires that districts develop a three-year Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and annually update it. All interested parties are encouraged to attend this meeting. Below is the process to provide public comment. The LCAP 2023-2024 can be accessed at www.mcs4kids.com. The Final LCAP for 2023-24 will be adopted on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

Process for Making Public Comments: We value your comments and have created several options to ensure your voice is heard.
In-Person: Members of the public can make their comment in-person at the Boardroom located at 425 Locust Street. The Period for Public Presentation is limited to 30 minutes. Time will be allotted equally to individuals based on the number of request cards submitted. The maximum for any one speaker is three minutes.
By Email at publiccomment@mcs4kids.com or by voicemail at (209) 574-1525 following the posting of the Board meeting agenda and prior to Noon (12:00 p.m.) on the day of the Board meeting (Please try to keep your comment to 250 words). Comments will not be read aloud at the Board meeting, but will be transcribed, printed and provided to each Board member prior to the start of the Board meeting. Copies will also be made available to the public at the Board meeting and added to the minutes and approved at a subsequent Board meeting.)
